Remember this is a visualizer not an MV, Melanie is really good at conceptualizing and then bringing it to life. The way the character is moving and interacting with it's environment is giving.

made a quick research about the 4 hearts she draws on the ground, which reminded me of the four of hearts card; Four of hearts signifies discontent and frictions in a relationship. It means that you should voice your concerns and try to work them out. It is a positive sign, because this is the only way to make progress. The four of hearts reminds us that love is not granted forever after. It requires nurturing every day. "i never knew what it meant to be content with you" = discontent! also voicing your concerns and try to work them out reminds me of BOTL, is this a ref for something that will come out??

That kinda makes sense. Other commenters have mentioned that the mirror-portal birth and her shattering it could be representive of leaving the narcissistic bubble from Nymphology and actually closing the door behind her, and we were going to come in to add that the whole thing almost seems like a fairy version of going back to a sanctuary and cleansing oneself. Like the chandelier emitting dust is a weird note, until you bring up how insects like bees, wasps, butterflies, etc do EXACTLY (1:09) THAT all the time with flowers and get covered in pollen while trying to get food. So maybe her dancing on the chandelier and throwing her magic tools in the dust cloud was her (as Creature, as they're apparently called? We only just came around to PORTALS because our sister told us it was bad compared to Crybaby and K-12, which is a huge regret on our part. 🥺) cleaning that presence off herself and her stuff. Just "get the hell off me! You're not supposed to be here anymore! This is my stuff, this is my safe space!" The heart ritual might be similar, like since she's back in her sanctuary, she's putting up her boundaries as housekeeping. -👾/🧰

I’m pretty sure Melanie pays for all of this out of her own pocket, the label doesn’t fund any of this only 2 music videos. Mel has always been one to make their whole music a visual production and experience. I found this awesome. Amazing, the animation makes it feel other worldly, I like how I still see mell withing the movements of this character. This was so freaking cool and just getting to see what she visualized for this song pulled out of her brain and on screen is so cool I loved this sm

I've been a Melanie fan for like 90% of my life, saw her preform toxic by Brittney Spears, during the voice, and was completely hooked on her style! This woman goes above and beyond to create wonderfully, magical experiences for her fans, she is absolutely the most creative person who is currently in the light of fame, in my opinion.
