It must be one of the most touching and human songs Melanie has ever written. No swearing, just talking about true feelings and how awful bullying is. Seems like she's feeling not just for victims of bullying but also for bullies themselves because only deeply heartbroken person can sink low enough to start hurting others. She understands that her resentment won't put an end to violence so she's choosing to forgive her bullies and focus on taking care of herself and others, on spreading love.

Melanie has gotten me through so much, I've been bullied, insecure, and oversensitive, and she just gave me so much joy. whenever I'm sad or upset I just put on a melanie martinez song and use it to calm down. This is one of the best ones. She helped me get through all my insecurities, including one about a gap in my teeth, which I love now because it makes me think of her, and helped me to ignore the bullies. I can relate to this song in a few ways. I’ve never acted like the “cool” kids at my school (funny thing is they pulled the fire alarm in PE class)-I always felt left out in break or classes if none of my friends were there. It always felt like they were trying to stay away from me as much as they could. I am pretty good at my classes though, so the only time they care about me is if they see an opportunity to copy me.
