As a fan who got introduced to Melanie Martinez from their best friend, I've just come to realize how much i love this song, not only because of the meaning, but also because it has made me dedicate this song to my best friend, who has been with me through everything, yet it also makes me cry, Both in a good and bad way, I'm a minor in 6th grade and my very best friend (since kindergarten) moved schools last year. Though im proud of her, it broke my entire soul seeing her leave. On the last day of 5th grade, at the end maybe at 3: 30? There was another one of my friends, she was crying, i asked her why she was crying and she said, and i quote, "I don't want to leave", i tried not to cry and i gave her a hug, but i failed and bursted out in tears, we both did. Now, i live in Puerto Rico, I'm originally from Puerto Rico but i speak English. It might not mean much to others, but I'd like to share my experience and how i felt and feel about the situation, even if it isn't much like other people's stories.
